Alissa and Robert: Romantic Garden Wedding at Pruyn House in New York
The third segment of my travels (we’ll come back to the second stop in the next post) took me to Latham, New York to Alissa and Robert’s beautiful garden wedding. So today I’d like to introduce you to Alissa and Robert, who are pretty dang cool people. They are creative, talented, and maybe a little nerdy… totally our kind of people. If I had to choose one word to describe Alissa and Robert, that word would be “generous”. They clearly spent a great deal of time and energy to make their wedding day as amazing for their family and friends as it was for them. But the thing that stole my heart was when Cathy, their officiant, shared with me the text of their wedding ceremony at the rehearsal, and the opening lines were, “Marriage. Marriage is what brings us together today. Marriage, that blessed arrangement, that dream within a dream.” Thats when I knew it was going to be a really awesome day. And it was…. take a look.

And that, my awesome internet friends, is the story of the day Alissa and Robert were married. Aren’t they the coolest people ever? And in case you’re still wondering about the opening lines of their ceremony (if you are, I’m totally punching your cool card), that’s from the wedding ceremony in the Best Movie Ever Made… Princess Bride.
Alissa and Robert, I really want to thank you for having me be a part of your wedding day. Not only do I think you guys are wicked cool, I am completely in awe of your amazing talents. Your wedding was beautiful and thoughtful, and I’m so glad that you invited me to be a part of making your memories.
Have fun stormin da castle!
