Today is all about Colleen and Daniel, and Jack. Colleen and Daniel are getting married next fall in Savannah. And Jack is their blue-eyed, insanely adorable husky-mix puppy. It’s my sincerely held opinion that anyone who brings their dog to a photo session is someone I want to hang out with. And Colleen and Daniel are no exception. We met up in downtown Savannah at Greene Square, which is where Daniel proposed to Colleen, and made some fun photos while we started to get to know each other. We chatted while we made photos and I learned that they have been dating since practically middle school. After making a few fun photos around the square, we headed out of town to the Wormsloe Historic Site, also known as Wormsloe Plantation, which is a state park and historic site just outside Savannah. Wormsloe is known for its nearly two mile long avenue sheltered by enormous spanish moss draped oak trees that leads from the gate to the museum. So of course we had to play with that. We also wandered down the trail toward the ruins of the estate and the salt marsh, which gave us a chance to explore and make some photos in the distinctly southern landscape of palmetto bushes, spanish moss, and pine trees. And throughout the whole adventure, Colleen and Daniel laughed and teased each other and kept us all chuckling. And Jack made sure all the bushes were sniffed over, ’cause that’s what good dogs do. Here’s some of my favorite photos of our adventure…
Thank you Colleen and Daniel for being such good sports all afternoon, and for keeping me laughing the whole time. I’m really excited to be a part of your big day, and I can’t wait for your wedding day. Also, please tell Jack I said ‘woof woof’. Happy Thanksgiving to everyone, and see y’all next week.
