Old Courthouse On The Square Wedding | Amanda and Steve

bride and groom portrait at old courthouse on the square in decatur, ga

“Love is friendship caught fire; it is quiet, mutual confidence, sharing and forgiving. It is loyalty through good and bad times. It settles for less than perfection, and makes allowances for human weaknesses. Love is content with the present, hopes for the future, and does not brood over the past. It is the day-in and day-out chronicles of irritations, problems, compromises, small disappointments, big victories, and working toward common goals. If you have love in your life, it can make up for a great many things you lack. If you do not have it, no matter what else there is, it is not enough.”  -by Laura Hendricks “I am a leaf on the wind… Watch how I soar…”  ―Wash, Firefly/Serenity “You know you’re in love when you can’t fall asleep because reality is finally better than your dreams.”  -Dr. Seuss

This beautiful duo is Amanda and Steve.  If they look familiar, it’s because you met them a few months back when we made their engagement photos in Atlanta’s Piedmont Park.  They were married on a super chilly Saturday afternoon at the Old Courthouse On The Square in Decatur, Georgia.  It was super chilly because Atlanta was still recovering from the wrath of SnowmageddonII that dumped inches of sleet, ice, and snow on the city a few days before.  But despite the shock of winter storms attacking our fair southern home, nothing was going to stop this celebration from happening.  Or even slow it down much.  Or at all.  Actually, they ran ahead of schedule thanks to the skillful spreadsheet stylings of Steve.  Hey, everyone’s got a super power. wedding toast at old courthouse in decatur And that is how two beautiful people with a love for spreadsheets have one amazing wedding.  Also, you may have noted that there was some seriously epic dancing happening at their reception.  Amanda’s grandma is my new personal hero.  Not only can she do The Wobble like nobody’s business, but she is one of the warmest and nicest people I’ve ever met.  Thank you, Amanda and Steve, for choosing to have me record your story.  It was incredibly fun to get to know you over the past few months, and it was an honor to spend your wedding day with you.  Congratulations to you both!
