This Saturday is the second worldwide Help Portrait event. Photographers around the world will come together in hundreds of locations to give photos instead of taking them. I’m really excited to be a part of the event again this year, this time as a photographer. Jessica is going again, and this time we’re taking all three kids. It’s going to be amazing. I’ll be sure to tell you all about it next week. In the meantime, here’s the official video summary of the 2009 Help Portrait event.
And I encourage you to go back and read my blog post about our experience at Help Portrait last year. And, if you find that you might have some time to spare on Saturday, the Norcross location still needs volunteers. You can check out the Help Portrait Northeast Atlanta website to get more info. Oh, and don’t be shy if you’re not a photographer. They need people to do lots of things besides take pictures.
Find someone in need.
Take their portrait.
Print their portrait.
And deliver them.
Help Portrait isn’t just about giving free portraits. It’s about giving to those who’d never be able to get photos.
