Welcome APW Readers!

**Note to people at work: The above video includes music. Turn your sound down if you play it so you don’t get busted. 😉

Hello!  Thanks for joining us over here in our corner of the interwebz.  We’re glad to have you.  Please feel free to look around and make yourself at home.  I’ll confess, we started to tidy up the place. But after two glasses of wine, we decided that you’re more like family anyway, so we sat down and watched reruns of House on Netflix instead.  You understand.

So, since you’re here, allow me to show you around a little bit.  Hopefully, you already watched the photography slideshow on our front page and enjoyed it.  It took a really long time to make it, because picking favorite photos of my amazing clients is like picking your favorite kitten video… there’s just so many of them and each one is more awesome than the next. In order to make it easier for me, Jessie (my partner in life and business) came up with an awesome compromise: Every photo you see on our website that isn’t in a blog post links to the blog post where the photo was featured.  For instance, every photo in the slideshow on the front page is a link, and if you click on it, you will be instantly transported to the blog post where that photo originally appeared.  And the same is true for any photo you see on any of our info pages.

Speaking of our info pages, there’s a lot of them.  You may have guessed from the awesome article over at A Practical Wedding that we do things a little bit differently.  One of the things we take a lot of pride in is being super open with our clients.  On this website, without ever having to send out any emails or fill out any online forms, you can see our wedding photography package rates, our availability calendar, and learn about our free travel policy.

But wait! There’s more. Ha-ha… and that’s as close to a hard sell as you’ll get around here.  We’re all grown-ups, right?  Ok, maybe not me.  But you are still smart and stuff, and able to make decisions if you have all the info you need.  So we’ve made a bunch more info pages for you to check out so that you don’t have to waste any time listening to my dumb jokes at a coffee shop…. you can read them all online!  Because you’ve probably heard by now that it’s important for you to have a connection with your wedding photographer, you can find out right away if you’re going to like me by reading our FAQ1, FAQ2, or FUQ pages.  And of course, there’s the obligatory About Me page too.

And if you really really want to dig deep around here, or if you have some very specific interests, you can always use our blog categories, the tags at the bottom of the post, or the suggested posts at the end of each blog post to narrow things down.  To use the blog categories feature, just waive your magic mouse over the word ‘Blog’ up there in the menu bar and the list of categories will pop down.  You’ll notice that we’re such a fan of APW couples here that we made a blog category for A Practical Wedding couples.  That’s because y’all rock.

So that’s enough from me for now.  I hope you’ll have a lot of fun visiting our website.  We’ve been lucky enough to work with the most amazing people over the past four years (almost five now!), and hopefully you’ll get a sense of how amazing they all are from the photos and stories about them.  Even better, maybe you’ll become one of them.  Please feel free to email me with any questions you have about anything at all.  We’ll be here all week.

Cheers!!

P.S.  Here’s another video of highlights from last year.  We think the song is so awesome, we just keep playing it.
