Hunter New York Wedding | Laura and Chad

This is the story of a boy and a girl and a waterfall. And a wedding. Laura and Chad were married on Hunter Mountain in the Catskill Mountains of New York on a perfect Saturday afternoon. They started their day off with an early morning group hike for their family and friends to the top of Kaaterskill Falls, which is where one icy cold winter day, Chad proposed to Laura after concocting a story worthy of convincing a very clever woman to go hiking in the snow and ice to see a frozen waterfall. There may have been some pleading too. Sources are unclear. However, it has been suggested that donuts were most likely used as a bribe. And obviously Laura accepted Chad’s proposal, because it meant there would be a lifetime of hiking and donuts with the person she most adored, and who wouldn’t do that? And so that’s how we all found ourselves climbing alongside a gorgeous waterfall just after sunrise one summer Saturday morning, and then later in the afternoon at the top of Hunter Mountain with big smiles on all our faces. If you’d like to know the rest of the story of the day, just scroll though these photos. Enjoy!
